OCAD University

OCAD University

OCAD University has more depth and breadth in visual arts and design programs than any school of its kind in Canada. OCAD U offers its students a unique environment that combines studio-based learning with critical inquiry. Programs lead to a BFA or BDes and, as of 2008/2009, an MA, MFA or MDes.

At OCAD U, we educate imaginations. We consider the future. We also honour our history, recognizing the more than a century of achievement that distinguishes our alumni. Joining the remarkable artists and designers we’ve graduated are established cultural leaders, educators, innovators, creative thinkers and strategists.

The Diversity & Equity Initiatives Office at OCAD University works with members of the OCAD U community to promote a respectful, inclusive work and learning environment.

We work to support, review and develop policies that support an inclusive environment based on the Ontario Human Rights Code, which provides that every person has the right to equal treatment without discrimination on the basis of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed (religion), sex, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, family status, and receipt of public assistance.

The Diversity Action Plan at OCAD U is a proactive university-wide action-oriented initiative established by the Educational & Employment Equity Committee. The initiative infuses the values of diversity and equity into all facets of the OCAD U community. Faculty, staff and students will take full responsibility for the implementation of these core values and ensure their integration in all work, decision-making, practices and policies. For more information, please see the plan below;

As an employment equity employer, we encourage applications from women, Aboriginal peoples, visible minorities, persons with disabilities, and persons of all sexual orientation or gender identity.

Positions are posted regularly and we encourage you to check our website often for new employment opportunities. You may also choose to subscribe to our RSS feed to receive updated information.
